That is why each quarter we take a moment to recognize a team member who goes above and beyond in the name of safety. For Q3, that recognition goes to someone whose behind-the-scenes impact keeps our entire operation moving safely and smoothly.
Congratulations to Andy Blackwell, our Q3 imPACT Award winner for Safety and a valued member of our Utah team
As part of our vehicle maintenance team, Andy is the first line of defense when it comes to ensuring our trucks and trailers are safe for the road and ready for the jobsite.
Whether it is a high-profile project across town or a remote location in the field, Andy takes the time to make sure every vehicle is inspected, prepared, and in safe working condition before it leaves the yard.
Brendan Titus, UT Operations Manaager, summed it up best:
“Your number one goal every day is to make sure our vehicles are safe to be out on the road and out on jobs. Thank you for all you do to make sure our guys stay safe and make it home to their families.”
Taylor Welcker, UT Field Supervisor, echoed that sentiment with praise for Andy’s initiative:
“You are the first line of defense for safety. I think you go out of your way to make sure everything is how it is supposed to be. You do not wait for a complaint, you catch issues before they become problems.”
Andy’s impact does not go unnoticed. His attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and care for his teammates are felt across the company. He takes pride in what he does because he knows it matters.
In Andy’s own words:
“Thank you for recognizing me and what I do. I really enjoy my job and doing something that makes a difference. I want to help bring the guys home safe and make sure they are safe while they are out on the job.”
