Celebrating Cindy Johnson: A Leader at StormWater Pros

At StormWater Pros, we pride ourselves on the dedication and leadership of our team. No one embodies this spirit more than Cindy Johnson, our Arizona General Manager. Cindy has been with the company since its inception in 2010, starting as Office Manager when StormWater Pros was just beginning its journey.

After taking a 3-year leave from 2015 to 2018 to focus on her family, Cindy returned with an even stronger drive. Since then, she’s worn nearly every hat in the company—Sales Support, Maintenance Project Manager, Chief Estimator, Pre-Construction Project Manager, Director of Internal Maintenance Operations, Vice President of Internal Maintenance Operations—and now leads our Arizona division as General Manager.

Cindy has also been involved in the hydrovac industry since 2007, beginning her career with Valley Hydrovac, which StormWater Pros acquired. Over the years, she’s watched and contributed to our company's growth, bringing her unique perspective and firsthand experience to each role she’s held.

Cindy, an Arizona native, loves the outdoors—whether she’s running, mountain biking, or walking her two dogs. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she spends her free time cheering on her three kids: Amare (19), Mia (16), and Kayla (10) in their sports and achievements. Cindy’s competitive nature is a driving force in her life, and it’s one of the reasons she’s become such a dynamic leader at StormWater Pros.

Cindy brings a sense of excitement to every challenge she faces. Her famous motto, “Be Better,” is a mantra heard throughout the office. She constantly strives for improvement, inspiring everyone around her with her leadership and creativity. Whether she’s solving a complex problem or guiding a team member, Cindy's focus is on making a positive impact each day through innovation and empathy.

When asked what she values most about StormWater Pros, Cindy highlights the supportive, family-like atmosphere and the flexibility the company provides. This environment allows her to thrive in her career while still prioritizing her personal life. She firmly believes that by taking care of employees, they in turn will take great care of customers—a philosophy that drives the team’s collaboration and success.

Cindy is the first to step into a meeting and turn a negative into a positive. Her infectious optimism, combined with her problem-solving mindset, makes her a natural at diffusing difficult situations and instilling confidence in her team.

Looking ahead, Cindy is excited about the future of StormWater Pros. She feels that the entire team is working toward a shared vision of success, and with the strong foundation that has been built, the future is brighter than ever.
