Celebrating 15 Years of Stormwater Innovation, Growth, and Purpose
This June marks a major milestone: 15 years since Stormwater Pros officially launched on June 21, 2010. What began as a small operation with just one Hydrovac truck and a team of four to five people has grown into an industry leader in stormwater maintenance and construction — now operating in three states with over 120 employees.
The Vision That Started It All
Founded by CEO Brig Christensen, Stormwater Pros was built on a simple but powerful insight: systems like drywells, headwalls, catch basins, and culverts were being installed — but not maintained. Brig saw an opportunity to make a difference by focusing on the long-term health and performance of this infrastructure.
On that first day in June 2010, Brig stood alongside team members Cindy Johnson and Amaron Merrill, both of whom are still with the company today. That early team laid the foundation for a business built on integrity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Turning Maintenance Experience Into Industry Innovation
In 2013, Brig brought on longtime friend and ASU classmate Glenn Millet, and together they began designing what would become the revolutionary PureWell® drywell system. Drawing on years of maintenance experience, they approached the system from a different angle — designing with longevity, efficiency, and serviceability in mind.
Over the years, the PureWell® system evolved through thoughtful improvements, including:
Switching to PVC components to eliminate issues with rusting metal
Redesigning the intake screen for better visibility and easier maintenance
Among additional innovations that made maintenance safer, faster, and more effective
These enhancements didn’t just improve performance — they reflected a larger mission: to move the industry forward through smarter design and long-term thinking.
Expanding Our Reach
In 2024, Stormwater Pros expanded into California and Utah, taking another major leap forward.
In Utah, we acquired Pipeview Services, a trusted partner since 2017 and a company celebrating 10 years in the industry this year.
In California, we launched new operations under the leadership of Bill Harrell, a seasoned expert with deep industry knowledge.
With this expansion came new divisions, more equipment, and more dedicated crews working to deliver quality solutions in stormwater construction and maintenance.
A Culture Built to Last
Today, Stormwater Pros is a team of 120+ employees, a full fleet of Hydrovac trucks, drill rigs, support trucks, and more — all working toward a shared mission: to improve the lives of everyone we touch.
That includes our customers, our communities, and our employees. We believe in building a company culture where innovation, accountability, and service come first — and where our people feel valued and empowered every step of the way, all while working to conserve water for a sustainable future.
In 2024, we launched our Ripple Effect initiative — a program designed to give back and make a global impact. What started as a single project has already created waves:
🌍 In 2024, we proudly funded the construction of a clean water well in Tanzania.
🌊 In 2025, we’ve expanded our efforts to include a water tank project and the distribution of 100+ water filters, bringing clean water access to even more communities.
We're continuing to grow the Ripple Effect by involving more team members, supporting more projects, and making more donations that truly change lives.
To all who’ve been part of our journey — from day one to today — thank you. You’ve helped us build something truly special.
Here’s to the next 15 years. 🎉
