Employee Highlight: Celebrating 10 Years with Tina Stowe

As we celebrate Tina Stowe’s remarkable 10-year anniversary with StormWater Pros, we’re reminded of the incredible journey she’s had with us since joining in December 2014. Tina’s story is one of growth, resilience, and dedication, making her an integral part of our team’s success.

Joining the Team

Tina joined StormWater Pros during its early days, when the company had just 12 employees. Her initial roles spanned HR, accounting, office management, and even fleet management. “I guess you could say I did everything but drive the trucks!” Tina laughs. Coming from a 30-year career in the legal field, she embraced a significant career shift, bringing her wealth of professional experience and determination to learn a completely new industry.

The connection to StormWater Pros came about serendipitously. Tina was friendly with the Christensens since they lived on the same street, her daughters even babysat the Christensen kids occasionally. However, Tina did not know anything about Brig’s company. It was a neighbor who made the connection and mentioned the job opportunity that might suit Tina. Although the team initially had reservations due to Tina’s lack of accounting and office management experience, they had faith in her abilities. That trust paid off as Tina became a critical part of elevating StormWater Pros to new heights.

Pivotal Moments

Reflecting on her tenure, Tina highlights several key moments that shaped both the company and her personal growth:

  • Purchasing Our First Rig in 2016: The acquisition of DR1 was a groundbreaking moment. It marked our venture into a new market and a significant investment in our future.

  • Moving to Stapley Drive: The move to our current office in 2021 was another milestone. Transitioning from a small office with just a front desk and three offices to a suite that housed  all 10 team members comfortably was a testament to our growth. Tina remembers thinking we’d never fill the space, yet today, our Arizona division boasts 100+ team members, including 17 office personal and continues to expand.

  • Continuous Learning: Leaving the legal field after 30 years, Tina was eager for new challenges. At StormWater Pros, she found daily obstacles that pushed her to grow professionally and personally. From taking online classes to studying her husband’s accounting textbooks, Tina’s commitment to self-improvement has been extraordinary.

A Family Affair

StormWater Pros has become a family affair for Tina. Her two daughters and son have all worked with the company at various times, from summer clerical jobs to her son, Christian, joining in 2022 as an estimator. This family connection has deepened Tina’s bond with the company, making it more than just a workplace.

Evolving Roles

Over the years, Tina’s role has transformed alongside the company’s growth. Positions she once managed alone are now fulfilled by six full-time employees, as our team has expanded from 12 to over 100. Today, Tina serves as our Senior Project Coordinator/Accountant, a role she’s held for the past year and a half. This new position is yet another testament to her adaptability and drive to learn.

Gratitude and Vision

Tina’s journey wouldn’t have been possible without Brig’s generosity and the support of the entire industry. She recalls being amazed at how willing clients and colleagues were to help her learn during challenging situations. “Looking back, I could have never guessed what this position would become,” she reflects. “Leaving my legal career was the best decision I could have made for myself.”

Building a Culture of Support

For Tina, the culture at StormWater Pros has been a cornerstone of her experience. She cherishes the camaraderie and collaboration among team members, noting how everyone supports and challenges one another to grow. “Having a team that leans on each other makes the days better,” she says.

Looking Ahead

As we honor Tina’s decade with StormWater Pros, we’re reminded of the impact she’s had on our team and operations. Her unwavering dedication, thirst for knowledge, and ability to adapt have been instrumental in shaping the company’s success. Here’s to Tina and the incredible journey that lies ahead!

Thank you, Tina, for your hard work, resilience, and commitment to StormWater Pros. We’re grateful to have you as part of our team and look forward to many more milestones together!
